All of these images can be considered lines. However, I feel that images a and b are lines.

Again all of these images can be considered shapes because of the thickness of the images.

What makes a line?

I believe that a line is something that either does not end or ends but does not connect to another line.

What makes a shape?

I think a shape is something that is made up of several lines that connect at points to for angles. A shape also does not have any lose ends. A shape can also be solid or have empty space as long as all of the lines connect.
