large glass.

The first thing I looked at in Marcel Duchamp's piece The Bride the large cloud shaped object on the very top of the window. The rest of the piece didn't seem to really look like anything to me. The bottom did look something like a factory but it was just shapes to me.

After studying
The Bride, I still don't quite understand it. The concept of the piece doesn't make that much sense to me, even after reading the notes on it. I do not think I will really ever fully understand this piece. I still don't see how the sexual concept of this is represented. In the notes about The Bride, it says that the cracks in the piece were caused by the piece being dropped during installation. I do feel that the cracks help with the composition of the piece. The cracks help move your eye from the top right hand corner to the bottom left hand corner of the top half of the piece and then from the top left hand corner of the bottom half of the piece to the bottom right hand corner. This allows for your eye to move over the entire piece and take more of it in.
